I am so aorry to hear of Toms passing. I always enjoyed waiting on him at the Swedish Inn. Most of our conversations were about his hunting trips, horses and most of all his family. He loved his family! He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Linda Mangen

So sorry to hear of Tom's passing. Tom and I were classmates at Henry High in North Minneapolis. I have many fond memories of Tom from high school. We were in sports together, Hi-Y and even in the same home room class together. Our prayers are with those family members who are grieving at his passing.

"Uncle" Tom has been coming to our farm in Conde, SD since before I was born to hunt (well it turned into more than just hunting after awhile---we became family. Us kids, now in our 40's, have always called him "Uncle" Tom, because he was just that special to all of us. My favorite story that Tom told often was when he recalled his trips to the farm when he would arrive late at night, "I knew you would be waiting in your nighty and the boys in their PJ's waiting for me to bring you a bag of candy!" He was right. No matter how late they arrived that first night, Mom let us stay up until they arrived and we all stood looking out the window waiting for headlights to come over the hill!! "Uncle" Tom will forever have a special place in my heart and I await the day we meet again in Heaven----save me a place!!! Love you, Uncle Tom!!

There is never, ever be another Tom. Next to my Dad, Tom was one of the best men I've ever had in my life; I will always have a lot of respect for "Uncle" Tom. He was wise, compassionate, and just happy living life and making others happy. October and November's hunting seasons will never be the same without him here at the house. We will all miss him so much! We love you, Tom. God bless you.

He was there, when our kids were born, when they graduated, when they played sports, when they married, when ever a family event happened, Uncle Tom was there. When Daryl lost his Dad, his brother, his sister in law, Tom stood beside him to comfort. He truly is our childrens Uncle, in very sense of the word. They have never been on a hunting trip or fishing trip without their "Uncle Tom". Daryl and Tom just made their "bucket list" of trips for retirement and I am so very sorry they won't have that together as best buddies. I loved him and will miss him and his humor and spirt and loyalty and love.

Tom was a special person to many. For the short time that I knew him, hearing of his passing hurt more than I ever expected. Though our time together was limited, while with us, boy did he have a story to tell anytime you'd lend an ear. I will never forget stories / convo's with "Uncle Tom Hansen". The first thing I did when I got the news was go back and listen to a recent voicemail from Tom. It still makes me laugh. Tom had a way of having an impact on all of us and very quickly. Tom, we'll miss you! -I hope God lets you hold post in the pheasant fields of Heaven! -Dan
