Obituary:Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Aunt. Mariann (Chick) Bruber, age 76, was called home by God on June 9, 2012. She was born at her home in South Saint Paul, MN on January 15, 1936. She was adopted into the family of God through the sacrament of Holy Baptism at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in South Saint Paul. She continued to attend St. Augustine’s and later pledged her faithfulness to the Lord Jesus Christ in the solemn rite of Confirmation. Years later she continued her journey at St. Augustine’s and was united in Holy Matrimony on September 11, 1954. She had a general love of family, life and nature. She thoroughly enjoyed a lifetime of gardening, golfing, bowling, fishing, bird watching, camping and gambling. But the ultimate joy in her life was her family; she loved them to the depths of her soul. She was a special kind of person with a caring and loving heart and has touched so many people during her life. Her strength and courage came from her faith in God. Through the years she was devoted to the service of others, volunteering in her church to make quilts for the homeless for over 34 years, being a greeter and an usher for 12 years and doing meals on wheels for 4 years. In her younger days she also spent years washing clothes for the elderly and being a Cub Scout Den Mother. Her gentle smile and loving ways will be dearly missed, but forever remembered, by all who knew and loved her.
Mariann was greeted in heaven by her parents Joseph Anton Blaiser and Margaret Marie Blaiser (Marthaler) of Lindstrom; brother James and his wife (Mary Francis) Blaiser of Inver Grove Heights; sister Margaret Bergman of Inver Grove Heights; brother-in-law Richard Friesen of South Saint Paul, sisters-in-law Patricia Blaiser of New Richmond and Carol Bruber of South Saint Paul; godchild Timothy Blaiser of South Saint Paul and nephew Robert Friesen of South Saint Paul. Mariann was a beloved wife and best friend to her loving husband of 57 years Robert LeRoy Bruber of Lindstrom. She was a devoted mother and will be deeply missed by her children Raymond (Rebecca) Bruber of Wyoming; Robert (Debra) Bruber of Chisago; Mary (Richard) Autey of Center City; Daniel (Laurie) Bruber of Somerset; Geraldine (Randall) Carr of Center City; Susan (John) Stanway of Lindstrom; Michelle Bruber (fiancé Jason Haugen) of North Branch; Angela (David) Frechette of Stacy; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
