Palmer" />Geri Palmer, Age 75 of Lindstrom, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2012.  Geri was born to parents Vernon and Rose Delima Olson on August 25, 1936 in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.  She grew up in White Bear Lake.  Married Robert W. Palmer on April 30, 1960.  They moved to Lindstrom where Bob and Geri ran a business, raised four children and were very involved in the Lindstrom community.  Geri’s favorite thing was being a stay at home Mom, always there for her children, and later being a grandmother.  Bob and Geri spent a lot of quality time together in the later years.  She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and quilting.  Geri is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert; her sister Mary Sawka; several brothers-in-law; niece Jodell Blumenthal; nephew Jack Blumenthal; and a son-in-law Ron Radi. <description><![CDATA[<img src="http://grandstrandfh.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/100_115452.jpg" alt="Richard P. Thiel" />Richard P. Thiel of Rush City, MN died Saturday February 18th at his home at the age of 59.  

Richard was born September 18, 1952 in Hibbing to Richard and Inez Thiel.  He graduated from Hibbing High School and Anoka Vo Tech.  On January 8, 1977 he married his wife Carolyn.  For the past 8 years he has served as a corrections officer at the Minnesota Correctional Facility – Rush City.  In his free time he enjoyed the MN Vikings, Twins, hunting Grouse and building bird houses.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Inez and sister Colleen Thiel.  He is survived by his wife Carolyn, daughter Sara (Paul) Kahring, granddaughter Hayden Audrey Kahring, sisters Terri (Tony) Machin, Marianne (Duane) Mickelson, Michele (Gary) Osborne, brother Robert (Jerri) Thiel, sister-in-law Shirley May, numerous nieces and nephews.

Helen was born near Braham, MN on November 1, 1931.  She graduated from Pine City High School in 1949.  She worked several clerical jobs at the St. Paul Pioneer Pres, St. Paul Companies, Northstar Paint &amp; Varnish, and was a medical assistant for home caring until her retirement.   In her free time she enjoyed gardening.

Helen is survived by sons Skip (Connie) Atchison, Doug (Patty) Atchison, Jerry Atchison, daughters Lori Lee, Becky Mangan, also12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://grandstrandfh.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/100_115188.jpg" alt="David S. Wilberg" />David S. Wilberg of Osceola, WI died suddenly at his home on Monday February 13th at the age of 57.

David was born August 3, 1954 at St. Croix Falls to Charles K. and Gloria Wilberg.  He graduated from Osceola High School in 1972.  He became an over the road trucker and had been in all of the states except two. David will be greatly missed by his family and friends. 

David was preceded in death by his father Charles K.  He is survived by his mother Gloria, brothers Charles J. (Karen), Robert, Thomas, sister Mary (Bruce) Westervelt, nephews Robert, Michael and David Westervelt.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://grandstrandfh.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/100_114937.jpg" alt="Glen A. Anderson" />Glen A. Anderson, age 93 of North Branch died on Friday, February 10, 2012 at Ecumen North Branch.

Glen was born on August 17, 1918 in North Branch to parents, Albert and Alma (Okerstrom) Anderson.  He attended North Branch Schools and graduated in 1937.  After high school he worked E.F. Hals and Sons as a truck driver and joined the U.S. Army in 1941 after the war broke out.  Glen fought in WW II and was one of thousands who landed on Normandy Beach with the Fourth Calvary as well as seeing action in Battle of the Bulge Campaign. He saw additional duty in Northern France, Rhineland and the Ardennes.  He was one of the few who were not wounded in two of the worst battles during WW II.  After his return home he owned and operated the Swedish Tea Room in Chicago.  Glen would later move back Minnesota where he took a job on the Iron Range working for Erie Mining Company.   He would eventually move back to the North Branch area where he worked for 10 years at the Arsenal in Arden Hills and then went to work for the Chisago County Highway Dept. as a Highway Maintenance Supervisor where he retired from after 14 years.  After retiring Glen loved to travel to many places in the U.S. as well as Europe.   He was often seen cutting his lawn on his Wheel Horse Lawn Mower.  He loved horses and in his later years took up the hobby of woodworking.  Glen was a member of the North Branch American Legion Post #85 for over 65 years; The Eastern Star; North Branch Masonic Lodge and the Zurah Shrine Temple.   Glen would become a resident of the Green Acres Care Center in 2005 and made the move to The Villages of North Branch where he resided until his death.  He loved playing bingo while he was at The Villages and “giving the staff a hard time.”  He was given the nickname “Per” by some of his friends early in life.
  
Glen is survived by his daughter, Gail (Gary) Vande Kamp of North Branch, grandchildren, Cari Jones of Fayetteville, N.C.; Heather Vande Kamp of Rush City and Heidi Vande Kamp of North Branch; great grandchildren, Courtney and Candace Willis; Andrew Heavirland; Megan Kubes and Landon Bergeron.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://grandstrandfh.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/100_114782.jpg" alt="Darrell W. Kittleson" />Darrell Wayne Kittleson, 70, of Amery, died February 7th in his home after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of his immediate family.  

Darrell was born April 14, 1941 in Prairie Lake to Henry and Victoria Kittleson, as the youngest of five children.  He married Kathleen Robinson at 19 and was blessed with three loving children, Lance Elliot, Ginger Lynn, and Jennifer Colleen (Gregory).  He married Rosalie Orton on June 28, 1980, and acquired two wonderful step-sons, Gregory Adam (Kris) and Kenneth James (Kelly).  He and Rosalie were married for 31 years.  Darrell was a metal-worker, machinist, mechanic, and inventor, as well as the former director of the Polk County Historical Museum.  His achievements are many, and include a notable involvement in the resurrection and preservation of the D.D. Kennedy Mill Environmental Area, membership with the Lions Club of Wisconsin for 20 years, with whom he went on 4 service missions to Mexico, the Polk County Fair Society, and most recently, was instrumental in obtaining paleo-bison bones from the Bell Museum in Minnesota, in order they be rightfully returned to the state of Wisconsin’s historical collection.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Victoria; son, Lance, and siblings, Lily, Irwin, and Mavis.  He is survived by his wife, Rosalie; two daughters, Ginger and Jennifer; step-sons Gregory and Kenneth; brother, Curt; 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

He worked at Glamos in Hugo, Minnesota for 15 years as a spot welder, earning employee of the month numerous times.  He was a Chisago County resident for 32 years.  Pork was a kind hearted guy.  His journey in life included many crafted skills.  He was a jack of all trades.  Bill is preceded in death by his beloved Kathy of 30 years and his father William. W. &quot;Bill&quot; Zitelman" />Age 76 - Scandia, MN, passed away on February 6, 2012, Bill last walked on the surface of this world to walk in the world of those who passed before him: his father George, his mother Laura, and his wife Jane.  He leaves behind those who also shared his passion for life: his sister Judy (Bill) Combs, sons Scott (Kim), Bryan (Michelle), grandchildren Zac (Jami), Eric, Jennifer (Josh), many wonderful great-grandchildren, and his very special, caring friend, Christina Giorgi.  Bill received his degree in Mechanical Engineering with distinction from UW Stout.  He was a long time employee of Ford and the Bureau of Engraving.  Bill embraced life as a firefighter, scuba rescue diver, race car driver, pilot, Scoutmaster, inventor, boat captain, hunter and fisherman.
